It took 77 days, 1,000 meters of thread (making 200,000 stitches), 250 kilogram of adhesive was used to create the biggest shoe in Marikina. It was 5.5 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.98 meters high. The project was led by Ernesto Leano and 9 other shoe makers. Made from genuine leather, it reached the amount of 2 million pesos. The materials used to create the shoe can produce 250 pairs of regular shoes. The proudly made Marikina shoe can be seen at the Marikina River Banks Center.
